Project-based interview video production, event promotion campaign, and social media content strategy
AAF Houston came to Harp Visual Media looking for a stronger way to promote its annual Night of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion fundraiser. Rather than creating simple event promos, we developed a campaign built around the voices of the panelists themselves. The idea was to go deeper than the event details and create content that explored why DEI matters to each speaker, the impact they have made in the community, and the ideas they would be bringing to the conversation in Houston.
Over the course of two weeks, we sat down with all five panelists for in-depth interviews filmed at locations across Houston, including homes, places of business, and studio spaces secured through the broader AAF network and Harp Visual Media. Some interviews ran more than two hours, giving us the opportunity to cover each panelist’s background, their personal connection to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the role they see themselves playing in creating meaningful change in the advertising community and beyond.
From those interviews, we produced a 15-video campaign designed for social media promotion leading up to the event. The goal was to create content that gave the fundraiser more depth, teased thoughtful ideas from each panelist, and gave people a reason to engage before the event ever took place. The series generated more than 15,000 views, over 2,000 engagements, and more than 300 comments across platforms, showing strong audience interest and real conversation around the campaign.
The event also saw a 30 percent increase in attendance that year. While not every result can be tied to one campaign alone, this project was a strong example of how meaningful video storytelling can help build interest, create momentum, and give an event a much stronger presence leading up to launch. For Harp Visual Media, it was also a great example of using interviews not just to inform, but to connect people to the bigger purpose behind an initiative.
